Our service, on 5th October, was enthusiastically led by some of our Year 3 and Year 5 children. They read and performed a dramatisation of the Feeding of the 5000 and Father Philip spoke to us about how important it is to be thankful for what we have and to share generously with those who have less. The children presented their harvest gifts at the front of church accompanied by Jess’s beautiful piano playing.
Some of our parents’ comments say it all:
‘Simply beautiful’; ‘The children sang with joy and enthusiasm’; ‘...a lovely school and community event’; ‘...well behaved children and beautiful singing’.
Our harvest gifts are to be given to the Open Hands Trust in Leicester which provides support and care for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in this area.
