Easter Service

What a lovely sunny day for our Easter services this year! We looked at the story of the original Palm Sunday and of Jesus’ denial and trial. These were very well read and performed by Year 5 and 6 children and beautifully mimed by some of our Year 1 and 2s. Our wonderful choir, led by Miss Hamilton, sang ‘Were you there?” in such a moving way. Father Philip spoke to us about Jesus arriving in Jerusalem as the people’s hero, only to reduce to ‘zero’ on Good Friday and then becoming the world’s superhero on Easter Sunday when he rose from the dead to save us all. Many thanks to Mr Baum for accompanying our singing on the keyboard and to Mrs Binczak, Mr Ager and the many parents and helpers who assisted the children getting to and from the church.
