Y4 Edale Residential Visit

On Wednesday 7th February our Year 4 children and staff set off for their residential visit to Edale. Two of our Year 4 children have written below about their experience of both the residential activities and being filmed for the BBC1 show, Countryfile.

Edale Activities by Callum
Abseiling was amazing, it is breath taking. The thought of abseiling is scary but when you do it, it’s the best. At the start crate stacking looks silly but when you actually do it, you have a lot of fun. You have to think of different ways to get the stack higher. Weaselling is very adventurous and you have to be brave and daring. It was exciting staying in a room of boys, the beds were comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep. The food was brilliant, for breakfast you could have a full English, toast, cereal and croissants.

Countryfile by Joseph
Being filmed for Countryfile was brilliant because all the time you were thinking that you would be on BBC1 and knowing that made the experience even more fun. We all now know how many times you have to repeat things for television as we kept getting it wrong! Suprisingly, we weren’t allowed to look at the camera because it wouldn’t look natural. I loved watching the programme when it was shown on BBC1 as we could watch ourselves back!
